December 2007 Breakfast Forum

On Tuesday, December 4, 2007, Alan Keyes spoke on the provocative topic, “Requiem for the Republic?” at The Lincoln Institute Breakfast Forum at the University Club in Washington, D.C.

Jay Parker first met Alan at the 1967 Young Americans for Freedom convention in Pittsburgh, which Jay co-hosted as Pennsylvania State YAF Chairman and a member of the national board.  Alan had just graduated from high school in San Antonio and was one of only a very few people to have been elected president of Boy’s Nation (he was the first black president) and to also win the Boy’s Nation Oratorical Award.  He is well-known as one of the best speakers in America today.

Alan Keyes' complete biography is much too long to list here ... he’s a political activist, author and former diplomat.  He served with Jeanne Kirkpatrick at the United Nations as Ambassador to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.  President Reagan also appointed him to serve as Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs.
