On
Tuesday, October 9th, 2007,
Mrs. Vesta Sithole spoke at The
Lincoln Institute Breakfast
Forum
at the University Club in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Vesta Sithole is widow of the late Reverend Ndabaningi Sithole, one of the leaders of the African
nationalist movement in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe in the 1960s and
1970s.
Vesta was a freedom
fighter herself and she has written a book, called My
Life With an Unsung Hero, about her experiences. She
particularly details how current Zimbabwean dictator Robert
Mugabe took over the movement and shoved people like her
husband aside. All attendees received a free copy of Mrs. Sithole’s book, My Life With
an Unsung Hero.
