Breakfast Forums

The Lincoln Institute hosts monthly breakfast forums featuring a prominent speaker at the University Club in Washington, D.C.  Featured speakers have included Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, Senator Orrin Hatch, Judge Janice Rogers Brown, Bill Keyes, Jim Martin, Reed Larson, Walter Williams, Ed Meese, William Barclay Allen, Kay James, Herb Romerstein, Vesta Sithole, Brigadier General Errol R. Schwartz, Alan Keyes, Martin Morse Wooster, General William "Kip" Ward, Rufus Jones, and Cheryl Parker.

Join us on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, to hear Carol M. Allen (with William B. Allen and Barbara J. Grutter) discuss her forthcoming book, Ending Racial Preferences: The Michigan Story, over breakfast between 7:30 and 9:00 am at the University Club, 1135 16th Street, NW, Washington, D.C.  Together, these three individuals founded the non-profit organization, Toward A Fair Michigan, in order to create a civil and civic forum for the discussion of affirmative action preferences. They will talk about the need to create such forums in which a fair and honest exchange of views on controversial topics can be accomplished in the spirit of active citizen involvement in our democratic republic -- using the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative as an example.  The cost is $25.00 per person, and you can register securely by clicking on the following button.

Alternatively, you can print a response card* and fax it to (703) 759-5494 or call (202) 223-5112.
